Pure Cuban Sugar (PCS) is an independent label dedicated to traditional and contemporary expressions of Cuban music and culture.  Of particular interest is Cuban culture outside of Cuba and Cuban-American music.  Spontaneously, PCS is a collective of musicians; woven in tandem like the fibers of a textile, the patchwork of each project threading them together in an Afro-Cuban-American musical tapestry.

Pure Cuban Sugar Studios

Pure Cuban Sugar Studios is home to recording artists Caña Son,  The Yumatics, and Machete Men among others. The studio is housed in the Casa de Juan building located in the heart of Portland’s Alberta Arts District.
