GERARDO CALDERON-TRES GUITAR & VOCALS

Gerardo studied classical guitar at Escuela Superior de Música in Mexico City. Later, in Boston, Massachusetts, he studied Latin American folk music with Miguel Ulises Jimenez and traditional Latin American folk rhythms with Ramiro de la

Zerda. Gerardo has performed with Latin American folk ensembles throughout North America and Europe. In addition to Caña Son, Gerardo is the Musical Director for the Latin American folk ensemble Grupo Condor, and does sound design for the Miracle Theater in Portland.
